What a Year of Blessings!

Today, I stood still for a moment. I was overwhelmed with gratitude, and I just needed to take that in for a moment.

Today, my beautiful daughter turns one. Avadya Esther Rose, turns one today! Sometimes its hard for me to believe after all the complications we had in pregnancy that here we are. Both of us. Healthy. Here. Alive. There are not enough prayers in my heart or energy in this universe to express the deep gratitude I have for that and the past year.  I catch myself sometimes wondering what it would have been like to know Avadya's twin... I don't think losing a baby is something anyone ever gets over. But despite the sadness I sometimes feel, it is far outweighed by the joy Avadya has brought into our lives. Avadya has been the greatest blessing to ever enter our lives!

And if that weren't enough blessings to be thankful for, today the SLP Orchestra flies to London, and in a few days will continue the journey through Paris! Three years of fundraising, hard work, planning, and now its happening! I am so very honored to be a part of the orchestra that inspired me as a child and has continued to inspire me as an adult.

I am so thankful for the many, many blessings. Sending our deepest gratitude to our family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, midwives, doulas, and community for letting us lean on you, and to be able to share the joy of Avadya in our lives.
