I forgot to wear green to school today, and in order to partake in the teacher's "secret lounge festivities", I was supposed to wear green...so my excuse today was I'm Jewish. It went something like this upon entering the lounging area:
Attendance Lady: Where's your green?!
Me: I'm Jewish...
Attendance Lady: Oh! Come on in! An Irish Jew!!
Other than that, things have calmed down a bit. I had two concerts one week apart, which I think was not only tiring for myself, but also for my students. It's hard to believe with our wedding only a few months away that the other orchestra directors and I already have next spring's string fest planned!
Overall, wedding planning has been a breeze. I'm finding I am kind of an anti-bride, and in comparison, this wedding is not even half as stressful as the planning for my senior recital was. I think part of that is because I'm not getting graded on the wedding by my violin professor!
Scott is also really good about making suggestions, and being involved. With my crazy schedule, I'm not sure if we could have a wedding like this if he wasn't such a mensch. (That means good man in Yiddish).
Anyways, I'm off to go spend some quality time with my mensch =)
Happy St. Patty's Day!
