So yesterday Mir and I started our honeymoon planning. Its hard to decide where to go, but we think Rivera Maya might be a good choice. The place that we are looking at is an all inclusive resort (i'll come back 10 pounds heavier) and we were thinking of getting the honeymoon suite (yes it's more expensive, but you only get married once!)
At first we thought about just staying in town, but then we decided that this is the only time that we will have before we go back to our busy lives, so we may as well live it up.
We will let you know what we chose.
Also, I start my internship in a month or so, and I couldn't be more excited. I'm sure the excitement will wane after a couple of months, but for now i'll relish it.

Boy, after looking at possible honeymoon destinations yesterday, I realized how in need I am of a vacation! As the school year goes on, and the weeks go by, I am looking schleppier and schleppier. (Although Scott claims I don't...But he's biased!)
I'm excited to be able to travel with my honey and be able to completely relax and focus on each other. I won't have to worry about laundry, grocery shopping, paying bills, learning my scores, planning concerts, etc. We can just relax, and enjoy the company of each other.
I've decided this honeymoon is like a giant Shabbat.
I'm quickly learning with my new job how important it is to have balance, which is why my weekends, especially Shabbat, are so sacred to me. Many weeks I'm out the door by 6am, and don't get home until 10pm. Often I have several days like that in a row and can't tell which day it is or what end is up. So having Friday night and Saturday to look forward to, and be able to spend quiet, relaxed time with Scott and family (Ok, so my family isn't exactly quiet!) gives me something to look forward to each week.
I'm looking at our honeymoon in that way. After the fun, and slight chaos of the wedding especially after the non-stop school year, we will be able to go and relax. Hopefully to return rejuvenated and ready to start this new chapter in our lives building a Jewish home together, just the way we start our week with our souls and bodies refreshed after a quiet, meaningful Shabbat.
So yes. Now that I have gone completely Jew-sophical on ya'll, it is alas way past my bedtime, and I must go to sleep now.
Lila Tov!

Have fun you two! That area of Mexico is amazing and we have been there 3 times, it rocks!
